Hello Megan!

Hi! My name’s Meg and I’m so excited to have joined Onelife as Administrator and Executive Assistant. It is such an honour to be part of the team and see what God will do, especially as we head straight into the School of Leadership 2022!

‘I Feel so much excitement for the vision of seeing young leaders raised up in every area to build the kingdom of God’

It feels like such an important and exciting time to be a part of how God is moving at Onelife. I’ve already loved hearing stories of how he has provided for the team and the journey Onelife has been on the past few years. It’s also been so encouraging hearing stories of people impacted by Onelife’s work – how they’ve had incredible encounters with Jesus, how they’ve been challenged and ways they’ve grown in leadership.

It is definitely an exciting time of change for me as I’ve just moved house, started this new role and four weeks ago I got married to the lovely Ben!

A bit about how I ended up here: I grew up in the countryside near Oxford before going to Bath for university, where I studied German and Italian. It’s a unique combination of languages, I know – but I loved it! It was challenging adjusting to a new city and trying to get involved in a Christian community – I didn’t have the confidence to fully immerse myself in a church for the first few years and I found this hard. I was able to study in Germany and Italy for the third year of my degree, and in both of these places I was blessed with incredible supportive church communities. This highlighted the importance of having a community who will support and encourage me in my faith.

After graduating I moved to London to spend a year working at Spear – a Christian charity that supports young people facing disadvantage to find work or education. It was incredible seeing how taking the time to invest in these young people opened so many doors for them and changed so much within them. I’ve then spent the past two years working in a local school supporting pupils with additional needs. As I learned about Onelife I felt so much excitement for the vision of seeing young leaders raised up in every area to build the kingdom of God!

I’ve already felt so welcomed by the team and can’t wait to play a part in what Onelife is doing. God has been so good to me in getting me here so far and I fully trust that he will do so much more!
