What’s Involved?
Main Sessions
We’ll create loads of space to worship together and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, as well as hearing from a couple of speakers about what it looks like to lead ourselves well in youth ministry.
Leadership Panel
We’re gathering friends who are leading young people all over the UK to explore together what God is doing at this moment in the church and how we can lead out of our relationship with Jesus and create environments where young people encounter his presence in our week-to-week ministries, no matter their size.
Toolkits
This is where we get practical! With a number of sessions to choose from, this is the space where we ask ‘how does this land on the ground in my everyday youth practice?’
Toolkit Sessions
There are five toolkits to choose from – so pick two, one for each toolkit session. You could even go to the same one twice...

Mark Scanlan
Have you ever thought about the nitty-gritty of what you believe? Beyond what we teach our young people, it matters that we can be confident in what we believe and where our beliefs have come from. Spend 45 minutes with Mark who will give you some tools to define what you believe.

Mike Palin
Youth ministry is often described as a hard place to be, but how do you look after yourself and build habits and community that will help you not just survive short-term in youth ministry but thrive long-term? Come and learn with Mike who has been in youth ministry for over 25 years and loves youth workers!

Liz Bewley
We believe God speaks today but sometimes we end up ‘leaving it to the professionals’! Cynicism, fear and exhaustion can all be blockers to hearing God’s voice in our own lives and in releasing young people into prophetic gifts. Come and grab some tools to draw hearing God’s voice into a daily norm for you and your young people.
-
Martha Stringer
Over my ten years in youth ministry there were a lot of times I’d find myself saying, ‘I wish I’d known that sooner!’ Some were funny and insignificant, and some were hard-fought. Come and hear some stories and learn from my mistakes.
-
Rich Atkinson
Conflict is a bit of a taboo in the church (and in culture) today! But we know that when conflict is done well, people and teams thrive. Come and learn from a church leader who is seeking to do conflict well in the big and little spaces and work out how you can confront conflict.
