Onelife Young Adults

In the past few months we’ve launched a new aspect of our work, specifically for young adults.

We have felt a deep stirring to extend Onelife’s reach to include those in their 20s and 30s. We see a real need to encourage, equip and connect those in the young adult age bracket to continue their journey of godly character and leadership development. We see a need in the church for young adults to rise up and be championed as they seek to lead in every aspect of their lives, whether that is in the office, in their social settings and in the church itself.

This looks like a whole load of new young content on our social media platforms and blogs specifically for young adults. We have also launched a virtual book club on Instagram – a number of us are choosing to read a book together and learn how we can better lead for Jesus in our context. We have started with Garden City by John Mark Comer. It’s not too late to join in – buy your copy here.

We’re really excited about all that God is doing and is going to do!

We ran a Onelife Young Adults event in Shoreditch just before Christmas and we were joined by the wonderful Nikki Marfleet who shared a lot of wisdom. Nikki is the prison governor of a high security men’s prison and an all-round incredible woman of God.

Ben from North London said:

‘The Onelife Young Adults event with Nikki Marfleet was such a special and encouraging time. It was great to learn from a leader who has really paved the way and changed culture in one of the most stressful working environments you could ever imagine. It both inspired and challenged me to be a leader of godly character in whatever context I find myself. I was particularly challenged by Nikki sharing on the effects of the words we use and how a culture of encouragement can play a significant role in the success or failure of the teams we lead. Looking forward to connecting with more Onelife Young Adults events in the future!’

Look out for more Young Adults content on social media, and pop Saturday 2 May in your diary for our next event!
