‘I Have Never Felt So Free’ – Toby’s School of Leadership Story
The Onelife School of Leadership was a week unlike any other I have ever experienced. I know it’s a cliché but it was absolutely life-changing.
My expectations for the week were blown away after the first session began – ‘Leadership is Vulnerability’. It set the tone for a week that transcended teaching material. Instead, it was an invitation for a group of strangers to participate in creating a culture where we led out of our weaknesses, where we actively pursued accountability, and above all, where we were prepared to submit all we had to Jesus.
What followed was a week packed full of teaching sessions, worship evenings, times of personal input and outrageous moments of fun. The Onelife team created a culture where competition faded, and encouragement thrived.
I have never felt so free, because I was surrounded by leaders who led with such honesty, maturity and integrity.
Spending a week in an environment so safe and uplifting provided an incredibly fertile ground for God to do a deep work in my life and the lives of many others, and it has laid the foundation for a vision of the future where I can use my influence for God’s kingdom wherever I find myself.
